ABOUT ME

I'm a 30 something girl living in London (UK.) As a teenager I would tear out beauty pages from magazines to recreate the look at home and store them in binders.. Although I still have those binders nowadays my inspiration is saved to my Pintrest boards (feel free to check them out.) One of the  main reasons I love makeup so much is it can transform you. You can create a completely different look without a change of clothes. I  also love getting ready to go out and for me doing my makeup for a night out is as much fun as actually going out!  My one true love are eye shadow palettes followed by lipsticks.

About 13 years ago I got the flu and didn't recover. It developed into M.E / CFS.  I began writing makeup reviews on a database website called Makeup Alley and I really enjoyed writing them. So I decided to start my own blog. It's a creative outlet away from my chronic illness.  You can read more about my story here.

As well as posting reviews I like writing beauty related deep dive posts such the history of beauty brands and topics such as makeup trends, airbrushing in beauty ads, counterfeit makeup and tips on saving money. I feel that this gives my content a magazine feel rather than constant advertising. This blog will mainly feature reviews on high street brands and mid range products with a few high end brands thrown in. I love all things beauty although this blog will focus on make up, nails, skincare and hair and less on bath and body products (having eczema means I'm allergic to those products.)
I hope to include more lifestyle content reviewing cafes, bars and art around London after the pandemic as well as posts on self growth as I have a background in Psychology.

For reference:
I have tan/olive skin, with thick, long, black hair and brown eyes.
My skin type is combination and sensitive
Skin concerns - dehydration, Rosacea and sensitivity

DISCLAIMER: All products have been purchased by myself unless stated otherwise. I am 100% honest in my reviews whether they are purchased by me or not. I will always disclose when a product has been sent to me for consideration by using an asterisks * after the product name
