I picked this up in Poundworld and thought i'd give it ago. I think the appeal for lip crayons will never really die down simply because they're so easy to use, travel well, are fairly moisturising while being less intimidating for those getting into makeup or lipsticks. There are 6 shades that are various shades of bright pink. I chose this one because it looked more coral than pink.
W7 describes this crayon as a "soft balm" that is" highly pigmented and creamy." They claim your lips should feel moisturised but without a "heavy or sticky feeling." The nib is really soft and it just glides on the lips. It also feels fairly moisturising without being at all sticky. However it is not as moisturisng and soothing as Clinque's Chubby Sticks. It doesn't really have a taste or smell which is good if you are sensitive to scent. It lasts for a good 5 hours without eating or drinking. It does transfer onto cups and glasses and you'll need to re apply after meals. It won't be perfect but it will generally survive a snack.
While some lip crayon balms are more balm than colour, this really packs a punch. The colour is a bright, coral-pink neon! NEON! I think you can only get away with neon lips in the summer or maybe at a festival but even so, it's a bit too garish for me. I couldn't get my camera to show a colour accurate swatch on the lips but you can see it here or from my iphone instagram shot here. For a bright, pigmented, non sticky, lip crayon this does deliver especially for the price point. Personally the colour Spontaneous isn't really me. But If you love pink, or looking for a bright summer lips and are on a budget, then it may be worth checking out in your local Poundworld. or online at W7 Cosmetics here (£4.95)
